Biography

Pouran Borders, painter, photographer and sculptor has engaged in extensive travel throughout the world.  She was born in Tehran, Iran and studied French Civilization at Sorbonne University in Paris, France.  Later she met her American husband and moved to Dallas, Texas in 1977.  She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the University of North Texas and a degree in photo  journalism  from Moor Park College in California.

Her background consists of both a rich Persian art, philosophy and poetry heritage as well as influences of the western culture.  The life-long travel has included visiting and studying the works of many of the world’s most prestigious art museums

She has been an active member of the art community and related associations within the various U.S residences, all contributing to her evolving career.  She has held both personal and joint exhibitions. Her work is found in the homes and businesses of private collectors in Dallas, Hawaii, and Europe.
